Overview of Kiarighat
Kiarighat is a hill station that is located on the National Highway connecting Kalka with Shimla. There are a few tourist spots here making it a short-term tourist destination. There are not many facilities like hotels and restaurants here for tourists who want to stay for a long time, therefore, most of the tourists who come here are here for a short while only. The main tourist destination of Shimla is at a distance of just 27km from here. Another hot holiday spot of Solan is very close at about 19km from Kiarighat. Like all the other parts of Himachal Pradesh, Kiarighat too is quite cold during winters. Temperature dips to less than zero degrees here. The dense growth of pine, fir and deodar trees are sheer visual treats.
Kiarighat is situated at a height of 1750m above sea level on the important National Highway connecting Kalka with Shimla. This place is located at 30.59 degrees towards the North and 77.5 degrees towards the East.

Air – Jubbarhatti Airport at Shimla and Chandigarh Airport at a distance of 32km and 98km respectively, are the nearest airports to Kiarighat.
Rail – The closest airports to Kiarighat are Chandigarh and Kalka.
Road – Kiarighat is a hill station that is easily accessible from all important cities in Himachal Pradesh like Shimla, Kalka and many more and cities in neighbouring states like Chandigarh.
Local transport – Kiarighat is a very small place, therefore, travelling on foot is the only option for tourists commuting within Kiarighat.
Tourist Attractions and Things to do
Dagashai (a yesteryear British Cantonment surrounded by a thick canopy of pine and oak trees) and Solan Brewery (eighteenth century town in close proximity to Kiarighat) are some of the major tourist attractions. Trekking is the only activity that tourists can indulge in, when they come to Kiarighat.
