Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) is a well known winter resort situated in Auli. There is a slope of 3 km running between the heights of 2519 and 3049, which is a major attraction at Auli. Snow beaters at GMVN resort keep the slope in proper shape to enjoy skiing in all seasons. Skiiers can get carried back to top of the slope with the help of 500 m stretch ski-lift carriers and thereby they can save their time and trouble in bridging up long skis. GMVN conducts skiing courses for either 7 or 14 days by qualified and well trained ski instructors. There are also special provisions even for day tourists.
